This is a fun project. I got my son involved in this one, he had great time “hunting” for the needed items. We found a local park that had everything we needed to make this Nature wreath. We collected twigs, pine cones, acorns, moss, tree bark, leaves and pine needles.

I suggest covering your work surface with newspaper, this project can make a mess. I started by arranging the twigs to make up the base of my wreath. Once I had the desired size and shape, I began to hot glue the twigs together. Craft wire can be used for some of the items in this project but I am suggesting you use a hot glue gun. Some of the items wont hold with wire but can be easily attached with a glue gun.

Once you have your twig wreath base the size and shape you want, Twist a piece of wire, hot glue a pretty piece of ribbon or a piece of raffia to the back for hanging. It’s best to place the items on your wreath and check the placement before gluing or wiring them down. I added the pine cones first, placing them randomly around. Next, I glued the tree bark any left over twigs, leaves and acorns to the wreath. Continue to layer and glue till the desired look is achieved. (Moss is great for filling in any blank spots.)

For the finishing touch of this wreath, I gathered bunches of pine needles together and strategically placed them throughout the wreath.
