Plastic Bag holder

We all have those plastic grocery bags, cluttering some part of our house. Now you can have a decorative place to hide them.

This project is easy but does require simple sewing machine skills. Half a yard of fabric is enough for this project. You will also need two pieces of elastic, one measuring approx. 6 inches long and no bigger that 1/8 inch thick. First, cut two strips of the fabric, approx. 2 1/2 inches wide. These strips are going to make ties for the holder to hang. Sew the two ends of the fabric together, making a tube, leaving an opening at the top, big enough for a door knob.

Hem each end of the tube, allowing enough space for elastic. Leave an opening on both ends to thread elastic through. Once you have the ends sewn, thread your elastic through (pinning a safety pin to one end of the elastic helps to thread it through), stitching the ends of the elastic together. This can be hung an any door knob.

This is a great idea. I have just been putting my bags in
a plastic container. This is so neat looking, everyone will
want one. Thank you
